@petebrown I self-host a few static pages. A whole blog would be pretty cool though. Are you thinking wordpress?

@jmanes I should have titled it “Some thoughts about…” instead. I have self-hosted my websites (and plenty of other OSS tools) a bunch of times over the years, including Wordpress and various static site generators. For me, I have just gotten to the point where it’s not worth the bother. Setup is generally fine, but I no longe have the patience—or the time tbh—for the ongoing maintenance. My broader point is that self-hosting is just so far beyond the realm of the possible for most folks.
