Rewatching last night’s GOT episode on an iPadAir2 and my goodness….
The difference in clarity, rendered blacks, and just the all out general experience is completely different from watching it on our 1080p Samsung TV (which we also love FWIW).
It’s genuinely wild!
@thaddeushunt having seen the whole episode again, a rewatch on an any retina display is MORE than worth it. I got way more out of rewatching the episode on my old ass (& faithful - sorry) iPadAir2 than I got on my more recent Samsung TV. Give it a shot. It’s worth it.
@thaddeushunt I could only stream the episode in 720p with a low bitrate. My 4k HDR TV didn't help there.
@jlsiewert I feel you, the bit rate streamed to our set was pretty much unwatchable that night. Which is why I was so pleasantly surprised with watching it on an old iPad last night and compelled to comment. I’m guessing they send different bit rates to certain devices? ¯_(ツ)/¯
