Dammit! The day job has started blocking the Raycast app store and AI capabilities. I may as well go back to LaunchBar at this point. Friggen' security theater makes it so hard to get things done…

@jarrod Yessir. That’s exactly what I was trying to do. As soon as I opened the Raycast app prefs, I was presented with all kinds of errors. I will continue to use Raycast for my personal needs though.
@jim Speaking of security theater, my new university will not allow the use of Apple Mail because “it’s not secure” and only permits the use of Outlook. It’s pure coincidence but Microsoft Exchange is the email provider.
@jim Raycast AI? It didn’t have that the last time I tried it. Been a LaunchBar user for years and tried Alfred but just doesn’t vibe with me. Need to look at Raycast again it seems.
@lukemperez Same here — though it’s only the desktop version of Apple Mail. The iOS version seems to be “secure enough” for them, though both connect to the same O365 endpoint. Go figure… 🤪
@jthingelstad Yeah. Paid Raycast accounts include some pretty cool AI features. I’ve come to rely on it more than a little to verify the Hugo code I write for Micro.blog themes and plugins. And the extension ecosystem is fantastic too, with options for just about anything you need.
@jim sold. I signed up for a year of Raycast and have swapped it in. So far it doesn’t bother me the way Alfred did. It is fast. Already found a couple things I like more than LaunchBar.
@jim I must use outloook for iOS or the web if I want to check email on my phone. I’ve decided that I don’t need email on my phone.
