@help Just want to confirm that cross-posting to Mastodon is available ONLY if you have a custom domain? I was able to enter details for a Mastodon account, but nothing has ever appeared there, and my reading of the docs is that it only works with a custom domain.
@jeremycherfas No, cross-posting to Mastodon should work even if you don’t have a custom domain. Can you check the Sources page to see if cross-posting is enabled? Does disabling it and setting it up again make any difference?
@sod My Mastodon handle is present, but I want the option of cross posting manually, so I have not enabled auto cross posting. Is my understanding of the docs wrong? I want to decide whether to cross post individually.
@jeremycherfas No, I don’t think you misunderstood the docs. If manual cross-posting isn’t working as expected, try setting it up again. If it still doesn’t work after that, send an email to the support inbox and we can troubleshoot further from there.
