It truly is like magic being able to use my desktop computer from far away, and will be even better when I can work out how to summon Alfred. I use option-space on the Mac and cannot for the life of me work out how to send that from my iPad. Do you know?
@jeremycherfas it should be - bring up the virtual keyboard, double tap the Option key and hit space. Is that not an option for you?
Use Command and Space keys and type Alfred into the Spotlight search box?
@Whalley_Ranger I’ll try that tomorrow. I can always mouse over and bring up Alfred that way, but I’m lazy.
@Whalley_Ranger Thanks for the tip. I played around a bit, but I’m finding it very confusing. With a Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse connected to the iPad, there are so many options. And sometimes, it just works™ from the outboard keybaord. Sometimes not. I’ll keep learning.
@jeremycherfas I switched to Screens finding it more usable/reliable but they are probably much of a muchness these days.
@Whalley_Ranger Interesting. I had imagined that staying within the RealVNC ecosystem might be simpler.
