If the last two years have taught us anything, it’s that the more British politicians say that “holiday x will be fine”, the more likely it is to end up with us in lockdown instead.

@wearsmanyhats @adders I happened to see part of Cyril Ramaphosa’s address to South Africa last night and was favourably struck by how measured, serious and sensible it was. It certainly looked and sounded like actual leadership.
