We got the official documentation for Wendy’s training.
Everyone, seriously, this includes a guide about body language and THERE IS A SAD DOGGO AND IT SAYS “I’M SCARED” 😭😭😭

@simonwoods is it Wendys training or yours? 😁 More seriously, what kind of training does she have?
@jemostrom Hah! Nice.
It's a whole bunch of stuff. She's a working dog, called "assistance dog" (which we learned is an important distinction from "guide dog"), who will be helping @clairewoods with all sorts of things. Apart from the basics of becoming familiar with body language, commands and so on, there are specifics such as fetching items, opening doors, and pressing switches (lights, traffic lights, etc). I haven't read the rest of the documentation yet but there is a bunch more.
Oh, speaking of light switches, she already did this in our living room during the first visit (for "matching") and I totally nearly cried. SHE IS SO AMAZING.
@simonwoods cool!!! Amazing what those dogs can do
@jemostrom It truly is. We're so lucky to have them, and the people who dedicate their lives to making this happen.
@simonwoods yes, when i was a kid we drove past one of those places on a regular basis and I always wondered how they raised the dogs
