On a packed bus and some lady is on speaker phone buying something and repeated her credit card number, expiration, and security code, OUT LOUD. Seriously, how dumb can you be?

@bryan I don't even like saying my phone number out loud in public like for those few shops that won't let me enter it into the terminal. I'm not sharing any even-more sensitive information where others can eavesdrop. I even don't like having to discuss my personal business with the desk staff at the doctor's office in the presence of other patients in the waiting room.

@daisy55 @jeannie sadly I’ve seen this type of thing too often with seniors. Not turning off their ringers that inevitably go off loudly for what seems like an eternity before picking up, speaking loudly about private things in public, etc. I choose to believe it’s just obliviousness rather than a lack of care.

@bryan If it's seniors, they probably don't realize they're talking so loudly because they're losing their hearing. My father-in-law refuses to get his hearing checked so instead he turns his tv up to concert level and yells at everyone instead of speaking at a normal volume.

@daisy55 @jeannie although I do envy their ability to move through life like that, and to sleep so soundly on public transport.
