I don’t know how I remember, but somehow I do, that the first graphical web browser I ever used was Netscape 0.93b. I remember the version number. (I also remember that all web page backgrounds were gray in that version.)

@brentsimmons ‘Twas 1.1N for me; not sure why that is an important fact I retained, either.

For the longest time, I used to code the backgrounds of my pages to grey (they may actually still be that way on my site!) after everyone switched to white.

@jays I think Netscape had it quite early — not too long after I started using it.
