@ChangelingMx Since I only just got it today, I'd need a bit more time to give you a proper answer, but my first impressions are positive! Installing and launching games has all been quick and easy. I haven't got to actually play much yet 😅
@jayeless Oooh, the new OLED models look really good! I’ve had mine for a little over a year and am super happy with it. It also works great with streaming services like Xbox’s cloud gaming and GeForce Now, which opens up a ton of other options. You’re going to really enjoy it!
@jayeless Could you pop round and do my curtains ... what, wait, not that kind of steam deck?
@jayeless I'm always blown away by the value of a Steam Deck compared to a gaming PC. I got one for Christmas 2022 and in our house we mostly use it to play games from the 90s (many of which are for sale on Steam). It makes me so happy.
@KimberlyHirsh Yeah, there is SO much available on Steam! And because it's Linux, I've seen that people are able to install emulators and stuff too, to play older games (including console games). Incredible value!
@alans Yeah, from what I read the OLED ones are more of an incremental upgrade on the previous generation, so I'm sure those are awesome too 😄 I'm definitely excited.
@alexink Hahaha, if I had that kind of equipment I should probably do something about my own curtains first... 🫣
@KimberlyHirsh ,I like games from the '90's. I often have classic NES games playthroughs on YouTube on in the background while working.
@ChangelingMx @jayeless I tend to use the Steam Deck for old point-and-click adventures. My husband uses it for emulation. It's great!
