@jayeless Hearing how different people play The Sims is so fascinating to me. Whenever I find out one of my friends plays, I ask them to tell me about it because the game supports so many different ways to play. I've been playing since the very first game and it has always been my "alone time" game so I never connected with the online communities you mentioned. I have however, made similar lineages of families that are on their fourth or fifth generation now.
I also agree that Sims 4 looks better than it plays. The Sims 3 was peak for me as everything being open-world was kind of magical. I found so many cool easter-eggs just making my sim ride their bike around town, visiting the cemetery at odd hours, making households with live-in ghosts, etc. So fun.

@gregmoore Yeah, it's a very versatile (series of) games! I'm always amazed by the people who spend lots of time in build mode, putting together awesome houses and community lots, because that's really not something I'm very good at and I spend as little time in build mode as possible 😂

I never really got into The Sims 3, I'll admit. I was still really enjoying TS2 when it came out, and just ended up skipping that instalment, for the most part (I think I did play it for one afternoon, haha). I know it has plenty of fans though.
