Finished reading: The Hacienda by Isabel Cañas 📚
Great all the way through but extra compelling for the last third. Like Mexican Gothic, it uses Gothic tropes of a spooky house and a mysterious husband to interrogate colonialism in Mexico. Highly recommend.

@jayeless It's a different time period and some different vibes but I think people who like that will like this, too. It's kinda like if Noemi's cousin were narrating and the intergenerational creep factor isn't as immediate. I like this and I love Mexican Gothic.
