✍ Question for fiction writers: do you outline in the same tense that you write in? My friend and I discovered last night that both of us outline in present tense but write in past tense. Curious whether others do as well 😊

@jayeless Me too — outline in the present, write in the past. This may come from my days of writing screenplays.

@jayeless I asked another friend who does the same thing 😊 When you're outlining you're kind of talking the steps through to yourself, so it makes sense that present tense feels natural.
