@jayeless It would be helpful to have a competent Federal Government vaccine rollout plan, right? 😮💨
@jayeless Yeah, it's a shame that it had to take another lockdown for people to get into gear and get the vaccine. I guess everyone got a bit too complacent.
@canion Yes, absolutely right 😩 It is infuriating how haphazard that's been. Every time I see poll numbers where people are apparently rating the feds highly for their handling of the pandemic, and it's like… what success we've had is 100% down to the states, and the feds at best have cruised on their backs and a lot of the time have been actively undermining them. So annoying.
@lmika Yeah, "complacent" is the word my dad used as well. Although I think the widespread fearmongering/doubt-sowing about AstraZeneca hasn't helped, either. Nor the seemingly inadequate supply given to GPs, where those 50+ seem to prefer to get their shots… oh well. Hopefully we'll be on the up and up from here 😕
@AlanGMarz Yeah, I feel like that's quite likely – that eventually it'll be one of those things we vaccinate against routinely, and only rarely results in serious cases, like measles or whooping cough. At least, that's what I hope.
