In honour of a batch of dhal I made tonight and accidentally made spicier than I intended (but still just within my tolerable levels!), have an article I found on why some people tolerate spicier food than others. Genetics, life experience, and endorphin rushes all play a role.

@jayeless Great article! I'm on the beginning of the scale, can't stand the "hotness" 😅 I usually have to badger waiters in mexican or thai restaurants until I'm sure it's safe to order something 😂

@Portufraise Haha, my mum and my sister are the exact same! My dad and I were always the ones who loved spice, but even so, I think my tolerance went way up after I met Vivian. His family is Indian and they do not hold back on the chilli 🥵
