@jayeless When we lived in Wellington our yard was dog-proof (we thought). Let two out at 3.30 am-ish and one disappeared. At 4 am we were scouring the dark neighbourhood for a black dog and luckily found her not far from home investigating an outdoor cat food bowl. Grrrr!

@Miraz Oh, that's no good! A similar thing happened to me once when I was minding my parents' dog for the weekend – I thought my yard was dog-proof, but he managed to tunnel under the side gate πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ At least it was the afternoon, not 4am, and I found him soon enough two houses down, playing with their dogs through their front fence.

@jayeless πŸ˜€ Yes, we had a recent tunnelling event from our definitely secure dog yard. I knew nothing about it till my neighbour rang and said β€œUh, Oshi's here”. Scallywags!
