@jarrod You won’t have to bring your iPhone on your workout to get insights from Workout Buddy.
@jarrod Do we consider this confirmation that Private Cloud Compute will be running on Apple’s servers and not Google’s after all?
@jarrod Cool, but what about outdoor accuracy? Tracked miles on long hikes are multiple miles off. Like 20-30% off from accurate. Was hoping for some improvement there.
@jarrod Creating custom barcode and QR code passes for Wallet is about 10 years overdue, but welcome nonetheless.
@jarrod Are they really suggesting that Image Playgrounds is one of the apps I use most on Vision Pro? 🤪
@jarrod That’s still a whole lot of apps that haven’t been made for visionOS yet THREE YEARS LATER! Why are these still iPad apps??
@jarrod It’s not just Safari tabs that will get categorized by topic. Reading List and bookmarks too.
@jarrod The new environment for visionOS looks beautiful. And there’ll be less of a desire for new ones from Apple since you can now create your own from spatialized panoramas.
@jarrod Apple continues to experiment with Control Center in visionOS. Every version has had a new design. I liked the last one, but this will probably be good too.
@jarrod Thank goodness. The inundation of notifications when you power up a device after a while has been obnoxious.
@jarrod It does say that about private cloud, but I’ll still be surprised if there are no Google servers involved. Or maybe they ship a bunch of custom Apple silicon servers off for Google to host and manage? I’d love to know.
@manton Right? It’s intriguing how they’ll manage that partnership, though I doubt they’ll reveal much more detail.
@jarrod The Mac Virtual Display widget is a good idea. So you can place it in your workspace for easy access, even if your Mac isn’t nearby. I’d be curious how many websites are taking advantage of spatial rendering.
@jarrod I guess we didn’t already have this in Apple’s macOS apps? Lots of third-party apps already implemented swipe-to-refresh. Good Apple’s following suit.
@jarrod Some more Mac-like stuff coming to iPad. Always-shown menu bar, apps names in status bars, sidebar improvements…
@jarrod Dunno about this new app grid on watchOS. I guess I do use the same handful of apps the most. Still, this UI looks a little childish to me.
