@jarrod no, Markdown doesn’t care what number you use. Because it’s a fresh post/document/block, it restarts the underlying ordered list.

Markdown ignores your numbers because that makes it easier if someone decides to reorder a list or insert something they forgot etc.

@jsonbecker Ah, I thought most flavors of Markdown let you start at arbitrary numbers.
