@robb most features can be implemented on the web, but some are incredibly hard to do _well._ As an app dev myself I obviously have some bias, but I came from a web (and previously desktop) dev background, so I like to think I’m fairly balanced.

Ages ago I worked at an agency where we were approached by many “we need an app” companies, and I’m proud to have worked there as we would assess their needs and tell them if something web-based would be a better fit. 🥲

@robb Agree 100%. Installing apps are annoying, especially when what it does is so easily achievable using web tech.

@robb I have an app on the Mac App Store (d20app.me) that’s begging to be a PWA. Problem is, I get customers from the app store. If I built a web app, I have to do a lot more work to get customers.

It’d be nice if there was a decent “web app store” or something that could help with distribution.
