I’ve realized I’m in an odd position where not having notifications has led to more distraction and lack of focus. Micro.blog only notifies for comments, which is perfect. But since it’s broken for me, I find myself opening the app to check the Mentions tab throughout the day and losing more time.

@jarrod throw it in your RSS reader like I do. I’ll see them when I see them.

@jarrod Or schedule a time on your calendar/reminders. It can be once/twice a day. It’s fine if you don’t respond immediately.

@jsonbecker Is there a feed for just my mentions? I actually do have my full feed in a section of my RSS reeder too, but sometimes I like the app experience.

@pratik Yeah… that’d be the healthy choice. But sometimes I want to know right away cause it’s fun! And I can choose whether to jump in to respond or just wait until later.

@jarrod Yeah, if I could see my mentions in my RSS reader, that's be dope AF.

@jarrod Need to fix this. Unsure why it's happening. Maybe the server part is not working as it should, or the app isn't sending your choice across — are you still on the iOS beta? (although... those should have shipped).

@vincent I’m on iOS 18.2 beta 2, but the public version of Micro.blog. I don’t fault Mb because of the 18 beta.
