It’s been 1784 days and Apple still won’t sell a compact keyboard with black keys. I’m done waiting. I’ve got an orange one in my eBay cart. If something better doesn’t come with the Mac mini this week, I’m pulling the trigger. Lightning and white keys be damned.

Also, what the hell is this key?!

A computer keyboard with a red arrow pointing to a menu(?) key, located above the right-side numeric keypad, highlighting its position.

@jarrod Oh, and I’m entirely unsurprised that the switch to USB-C was the only feature change on the mouse/keyboard/trackpad. Apple could do really good device-swapping with AirPods tech, but they don’t seem interested.

@jarrod As promised, since there was no black-keyed compact keyboard introduced with the Mac mini today, I bought an orange one on eBay. I’m ready for the Touch ID life.

A sleek, white keyboard with a rose gold rim lies on a light pink surface, featuring standard QWERTY keys, a numeric row, and function buttons.

@jarrod I found an answer! Via @rosenz on Threads:

> So the new Mac Magic Keyboard w/Keypad has a new key to the left of Home under F13. (The FN/Globe is now at the bottom left corner).
>
> What does the new key do? It triggers the context menu based on the current selection. So the same as the new Control+Return shortcut in MacOS Sequoia.
