New iMacs! But are those colors actually new? They look great, but I would have missed that they changed. I guess they definitely didn’t have pink before, swapped in from red. 🧵
@jarrod Did anyone else totally memory-hole the Desk View feature that came out with Continuity Camera a few years ago? It’s super cool but I absolutely forgot it existed.

@jarrod It’s curious when Apple does and doesn’t need to take the store offline ‘We’ll be back soon’ for product launches. I’m pretty sure there was no downtime for the new iMacs today. Is it purely a marketing ploy, or do big launches need bigger infrastructure changes?
@jarrod Oooh! We’re getting a 10-minute video introduction with John Ternus, hosted from their new Observatory. I’m perhaps even more excited to see this new space than the iMac!
@jarrod I’m betting that since they’re saying more languages are coming for Apple Intelligence in December, they’re targeting 18.2 to be released by then.
@jarrod haha yeah I double checked it to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating before I replied 😅 but with the matching keyboard and mouse, that 2021 one was definitely pink. Love that they are making it even pinker!
