@pratik I feel like you’d know this. What are the current most effective Drafts → Micro.blog Actions?

@pratik I’m having two issues with using @jarrod’s Shortcut.

1. When I call it using a Drafts Action, it is attempting to upload the .txt file from Drafts to Micro.blog instead of invoking the photo picker. I’ve manually tweaked the Shortcut to remedy this (not elegantly, so could use a better fix).
2. When a photo is uploaded, it’s just copying to clipboard instead of inserting. Again, I can tweak it to get it to insert into Drafts, but it’s only doing it for a new draft not the existing one.

Did you make any tweaks/changes to make it work specifically for Drafts?

@pratik I’m using Micro.blog Multimedia Uploader and Generate Alt Text with OpenAI Vision. Both work flawlessly on their own, as they are designed. The issue pops up when I invoke them via a Drafts Action.

@pratik I’ve solved problem 2. Figured it out, problem on my end.

@Mtt I’ve found running shortcuts via Drafts actions to be tricky. In fact, I made a specific action and helper shortcut to get it to work. Maybe try those?

@jarrod So you’re using a Drafts Action to trigger that shortcut. Then letting that shortcut trigger the image upload?

@jarrod It’s weird but it works. Since I didn’t need the imagekit, etc stuff. I just made a shortcut that the only step is running the upload shortcut. Works flawlessly. Don’t understand why that’s needed, but it works.

@Mtt It’s something about how Drafts passes things into the shortcut. Even when it’s blank, I think it tries to pass blank text to the shortcut, which isn’t compatible with the Uploader.
