@numericcitizen I find it intriguing that you tend to write microposts with Scribbles, and mid-length posts on Micro.blog. In my mind, they'd be swapped. What's your thought process (if any) behind what goes where?
@jarrod Blips on Scribbles (blips.numericcitizen.me) means nano-posts (very small thoughts). Micro.blog for higher velocity post (blog.numericcitizen.me) like linkpost, comments, while my main website (numericcitizen.me) gets the feature articles, analysis, etc. Still with me? 🤪 Make sense to you?
@jarrod maybe I should write a small blog post explaining all this? 🤔 But where would I post it? 😁 To my main website.
@numericcitizen Yeah, it does make sense. Just incongruent with how I’d imagine it. 🙃 Lol I click through (from Micro.blog) to a Blips post expecting a traditional blog post cause of the format (title, style, etc.) but it’s a short post that would look at home on the Micro.blog timeline. But that’s just me, I’m glad you’re getting use out of all of your tools! 😁
@numericcitizen lol where indeed
@jarrod Haha! I had asked @numericcitizen the same Q about links on his Blips blog leading me to click through to find nothing more to read. I guess, Micro.blog's UI leads us to believe that if a link follows a short post, there's more to read.
@pratik @numericcitizen There is some! From the Tinkering post:
My permanent state regarding my digital space. And I love it.
@jarrod Ah! Now see, I missed that coz @numericcitizen had mentioned that all his blips posts are entirely readable on the timeline. I've a different philosophy about clickthrus but I'll save that for another day.
@pratik I believe they were, back in the day (early March 2024), before he started adding a title to them. @numericcitizen @jarrod
@maique @pratik @jarrod @numericcitizen I love that NC is doing this. Subverting expectations and inspiring conversation.
@SimonWoods it seems to be working! 🤣 But yeah, my Scribbles journey started without a title on each post but now I decided to go with the systematic addition of a one-word title… so, tou never rally know what you are going to discover behind the single word… 🕵🏻♂️ cc @maique @pratik @jarrod
