But my real concern is people keep signing up for my Substack even though it says pretty explicitly *go to the new place* instead. I think next I have to parse this RSS feed on my own site. Then update every Substack post with a big note at the top that says go here. Then if I ever leave Buttondown, I am still hosting/publishing on my own site.

Ah, yeah that’s tough. I don’t suppose it’s in Substack’s interest for them to allow you to close off subscriptions or kill the RSS feed while you host an “I’ve moved” sign on their site.

That sounds like a reasonable, if tedious, solution. Good luck!
