Second Shortcuts commission done. 💪 That was a tricky one.
@pratik TL;DR: Converts Bear notes into Blot-compatible Markdown files and lets you save them as drafts or publish them.
Long version: It takes specifically tagged notes from the new Bear app, gets all the images from the note, resizes them and converts them to JPEGs, uploads them to Dropbox, and then reassembles the text into a Markdown file. That Markdown file is a saved to Dropbox for a Blot blog, either a draft (and shows a live preview) or published live. With the option to add alt text for images, of course.
@jarrod Whoa! That’s awesome. Since I have a Blot blog too, this is very interesting. BTW what’s your business model for re-selling shortcuts that were commissioned by others? Do they hold the rights or do you?
@pratik You also have a Blot blog? There seems to be quite the overlap here! As for the rights to a shortcut, it’s not something I’ve really thought about or discussed before. But since each one takes some degree of customization on my end, even if it’s reusing concepts from others, I think their distinct enough to avoid any issue there. My business model is $5/shortcut.
@jarrod That’s a great price for something custom-made. I’ll definitely reach out if I have a specific need. BTW do you have the technical chops to convert an older-version Twitter export to a newer-version export? I want to import it to Mb, but it only accepts the newer version.
