I just finished my first Shortcuts commission! 🤩 It was pretty cool to work on a shortcut specifically for someone else. Luckily they use my same blogging platform (Blot), so I had a head start on how it should work. If you have something you want to automate on your Apple devices, give me a shout!
@jarrod By the way, the two shortcuts I worked on for this client — whoa, that feels a little weird to say — were ones that he’d already made and just wanted cleaned up and their functionality expanded. I leave plenty of comments in the finished shortcut so that you can understand what’s going on and edit it afterward, too.
@jarrod A few months ago, I started a Shortcut that use Charty on iOS to build a visual graph of my Plausible analytics within a widget. I still don’t know when I’m going to get this finished.
@rcrackley They were two blogging shortcuts. One that gathered a bunch of info about the current location and weather, asked for a photo and text, and then offered a bunch of options for how to format the final blog post with specific metadata. The second one was for photo blogging. It gathered a bunch of photos, resized and uploaded them, set captions for each, and then assembled it all into a blog post to publish or save as a draft.

I remember the days of Kodak’s DigitaOS scripting on the digital camera - got myself a similar gig and even won another digital camera in a competition. LOL.
