An overview of Chi's Strava ride to Quezon City. The ride was 14.1 kilometers long, with an elevation gain of 89 meters. Her total moving time was 47 minutes and 27 seconds.Wide angle selfie of Chi in her bike commute getup: she is wearing her normal, casual clothes, and has her backpack on which contains her Mac, her iPad, and other essentials. She is holding onto her red Merida road bike, which is also leaning towards the wall. She has her red Lumos helmet on, and a blue cycling cap.

@chiawase Nice! I got the safety vest yellow helmet. I figure if I’m getting it to be seen, I might as well go whole hog. πŸ˜† I backed the Firefly lights on Kickstarter a while back and loved them so much that I got the helmet too. What do you think of yours?

@chiawase Also, from that perspective it looks like the GCN thing is the end of a ski that you’re using as a bike rack. Please tell me it is so!

@jarrod ooooh nice!! TIL the Firefly lights are a Kickstarter project πŸ˜† I saw those on sale last month in a local bike pop-up event we had here!

I initially bought the helmet because there are times I keep forgetting to charge the lights I have on my bike πŸ™ˆ so I figured I could at least focus on at least having 1 of my light paraphernalia charged. It doesn't seem to be so bright that I can make do without my front light, but I know at least people will see me, which helps when riding at night πŸ˜„

I also wanna eventually ride with others in my local bike community and I can finally be part of the synced helmet lights gang 😝

@jarrod oh yes! It's not a bike rack, but more of an Ass Saver πŸ˜† got this as a Christmas gift from a fellow cyclist friend 😁 so far it does work on making sure my butt doesn't get wet if I ride in the rain, but my back though... 🀣

@chiawase lol I like the logic. I was also hoping that it would be bright enough that I could forego a headlamp, but perhaps not. But I’ll try with just the helmet + bright front light. It’s a little heavier, too, than I had expected, but I think I can get used to it.

I don’t know anyone else locally with Lumos stuff, so right now I’m a lights gang of one! 😭

@jarrod yeah, the helmet + bright front light is a good combo. You could also boost it from what I know, I saw that function in the Lumos app. Might drain the battery faster, but yay for a brighter light I guess πŸ˜†

Hoping you find other Lumos users around your area too! It's fun to see all the lights flicker in sync 😁
