@odd Indeed. I always had that fear in the back of my head when I was on Wordpress, too. Glad to have moved to my own CMS, though it’s certainly more faff than just using Micro.blog or some static site generator.

Seeing the thread on Hacker News that Shirky.com disappeared makes me think a few things.Maintenance of Wordpress sites is a never ending battle, and even the most prolific bloggers can’t be bothered.I miss the optimism of the web in the early 2000’s before social media silos became so... jamesvandyne.com
