@maique I know that’ll be my exact thought when Japan re-opens the borders for tourists. It was getting pretty nuts just before Covid.
@jamesvandyne I bet it’s crazier over there. We’ve been on a crescendo for years, and the pandemic made it great again, for this particular issue. The city is much nicer with tourists, in my opinion, but maybe not THAT many 🤣
@maique @jamesvandyne I remember at the height of the lockdown here on Maui it became so quiet for about 6 months. Rental cars were parked up in the hundreds in fields with no one to use them. It is quite the opposite now, and initially I found that transition back to busyness quite a shock. The economy on the island needs the visitors, but this is also people's home and at the height of the season it can get busy!
