There seems to be a lot of hype around Tailscale and I am feeling FOMO. What do people use it for? Except for talking back to their Pi-holes outside home
@tkoola My networking knowledge is lacking, but what does it do that can’t be achieved with PiVPN and WireGuard alongside a PiHole? (Other than being marginally easier to set up, at the cost of being more limited.)
@jamescousins that is what it does to my knowledge as well.
Then again, easy setup is a very valuable feature. I am thinking of someone who was convinced any given company could use IRC instead of Slack. It would just be a simple matter of setting it up 😅
@tkoola Maybe people should be forced onto IRC! My personal experience, setting up PiVPN for my family and me, is that it was very easy. And having been set up, it has been flawless. It’s wonderful to be as free away from home.
