I am one of many people who really like the note-taking app called Roam that is currently in beta. However, it seems some think that bidirectional note linking is the primary feature of Roam, and while I think bidirectional note linking is a differentiator it is not the only reason why ... frankmcpherson.blog

@frankm I'm with ya! Another big thing people miss is block-level references and transclusion. For example, TiddyWiki does transclusion, but it's per-tiddler. The granular nature of Roam is big, IMO.

@jack I get the sense that in comparison to how others use Roam that my use is relatively simple. I just like how it does what I need it to do for me, the question will be that when the pricing finally does come will the cost be justified? The good news though is that others are seeing Roam's existence as an opportunity.
