@jack I'll be honest; I hate seeing people speculate about the virus in particular. If we're curious about it then we should learn about it and get involved. Anything else -- including random musings about the subject on the internet -- feels like empty noise and a complete waste of time, although I understand that people cope in different ways.

I think it's best when we focus on that which we are able to talk about with honesty and passion. Everything else feels like wasted effort and not at all constructive.

@simonwoods I'm with you, although writing about how it affects one personally can be a fine way to work through it. I'm not against that at all. I just don't like the idea that writing about anything else is in some way inappropriate.

@jack Yes exactly. I would encourage people to write and write and write, and sharing is also good. But I find it difficult to even look at what amounts to little more than gossip.
