@Burk So agree, I got so frustrated with one of them one day I almost threw my iPad across the room. If I remember correctly it wasn’t even that important of a website, but I just couldn’t let it defeat me, I not sure if this is a sign of stuborness or stupidity

@Burk When these first arose they were only annoying. But as the bots got good at pretending to be humans these have become twisted beyond belief. Sometimes it takes me minutes to get it to agree I’m not a bot.

@Burk I got one today where I was to select all the bridges (showing Golden Gate as an example) and the photo was the underside of an overpass, in which every square was a part of the bridge :-P

@Burk hehehe. I did see one where you had to select all cats from a group of animals. That was nice. But mostly this recaptcha stuff is annoying crap. Half of everyone is a bot now anyway.

@Burk I'm a screen reader user, so when those come up, I need to take the audio challenge. Give one of those a spin some time. It's nearly impossible to understand what's being said.

@Burk @DHSDarcy I had one the other day where getting one audio challenge right wasn't good enough. I had to get three of them. It was infuriating. More often than not, I just give up.

@DHSDarcy oh geez they must be terrible if their visual counterparts are any indication! Definitely going to give them a listen next time one pops up. I’m sure it will be any second given how they are spreading like a virus.

@herself if it showed me a cat and I could click on it to hear them meow or purr, I would be ok with that. 😀🐱

@Burk Sigh. Am complete with you. Such an irony that I need to prove it to a “bot” that am not one of his kind, but am a human. And in such a convoluted manner.

There is some sci-fi plot there when these systems decide to eliminate us all by just not letting us go ahead from here.
