A ringing phone is effectively someone screaming “Talk to me now! Drop what you’re doing! Talk to me now!”

@yorrike I feel like we've gotten to the same point with texting.

@jack Although with texting, you can ignore it until later. Phone calls are set up like extreme priority emergencies. How one handles text is up to them.

@yorrike Ideally, yes, but I try ignoring texts from my daughter (if even for a few minutes) and pay dearly for it :)

@tones @yorrike For me, that is the role of voice mail. I don't want to speak right now, so please leave a message. And if I don't recognize the number, 9 times out of 10 I'll let it go it voice mail.

@rnv If Twain was one of the first with a telephone, who was calling him all the time? Bell? // @yorrike

@rnv Now I’m picturing everyone, every time they saw a telephone somewhere, thinking “I’ll just give ol’ Mark Twain a call” 😂

@yorrike my phone is on silent and I always miss calls. I way prefer not answering. If it's important they'll leave a message 😃
