I swore it would never happen but I’m getting the band back together.
@hjertnes I like it. Especially when I’m in a stop farting around with the tool and get to work mood. Used OF for years and wouldn’t object to a good excuse to return.
@jack DEVONthink and Tinderbox aaand TheBrain? Seems like a lot. I’m only using DEVONthink because of cross-platform item links. Can barely tolerate the Mac app.
@JohnPhilpin Things doesn't have tags or contexts so I'm not really sure, if you used contexts and want to use tags, how moving to Things helps anything.
@jack OF ain't fancy. But it is kind of like Org Mode where it works fantastic if you just accept how to use it.
@zachphillips Yes, it's too much, which is why I sometimes try to ditch it all for Org Mode and Finder.
@JohnPhilpin @hjertnes I'll definitely try OF3 (Mac) when it's available. I don't have much trouble switching task-management apps. I enjoy it. Helps me re-consider what's important and clean out the cruft.
@EddieHinkle Good question. I wrote this overview a couple years ago about a few of them. www.baty.net/post/2017...
@eridius projects and areas and tags seem to cover what I need ... I do like the someday aspect ... so not everything is piling up in a get it done now ...
@donmacdonald It's Mailmate and it's awesome if you're looking for muscle over beauty. freron.com
