Jack, I think that some of the effect is in fact that the network is so small, but the pieces you mentioned will certainly help it to still feel that way even when it scales up.

@c Same again with this reply to @jack. Makes sense if I go back to your stream and then Jack's post that you are replying to there, but not here. And it seems that Jack's post On his site isn't picking up (Possibly just not displaying) your webmention either.

@cn @jeremycherfas @c Aargh they were disabled on the posts. Tracked it down to the defaults in MarsEdit. Fixed, thanks for pointing that out!

@c This is very true. As the number of people increases, so do the odds of things falling into the typical social media traps. I remain optimistic here, though!

@jack the behaviour is still slightly unfriendly, in as much as it spouts json following placing one’s URL in the field and pressing the button.

@cn Yes, it seems to be a plug-in issue. I haven't had a chance to try figuring out what's causing it.

@jack when/if you do, someone else whose blog I’ve replied to has the same issue
