@jack Yep, 23. Movies were #9 and #18. It's one of my favorite thriller series.

Lee Child said back in November no more movies with Tom Cruise. They're rebooting with a television series they're shopping to Netflix and elsewhere, and will cast an actor more closely matching Reacher's physical features.

@jack after you have read all the Jack Reacher’s, and after all the John Rain’s by Barry Eisler, check out Mark Dawson’s John Milton’s series.

@bbohling Indeed. I always felt like that was a bit of a catch-22. On the one hand, I'm glad his star power got Reacher in front of audiences who hadn't read the books. On the other hand…yeah. He's no Jack Reacher.

@bbohling @jack I definitely second the recommendation for Mark Dawson's Milton books. Top notch stuff, and don't forget about the two spinoffs, the Beatrix Rose books, and those about her daughter, Isabella. Disclaimer: I'm on Mark's advance reader team.

@retrophisch I always though Jason Momoa (Aquaman) would have been a better choice. Has the size and the intimidation factor.
