@humdrum Did you like this book as much as everyone else seems to? I’ve read it twice and hated it even more the 2nd time ( ಠ_ಠ).

@jack it’s probably been over ten years since I read it, but I found it to be fine. I gave it 3 stars on Goodreads so didn’t hate it, but meandering/repetitive might be the criticism I’d use trying to think back a decade.

@humdrum I think repetitive is the right word. He puts capital-R “Resistance” in 3 out of 5 sentences, creates a few variations, and repeats them for another 150 pages. I’ll still probably try again some day.

@jack Why? I don’t know the book, but if you disliked it so much, what make you want to read it again?

@devilgate Fair question! I think it’s because I’m so impressionable. So many people I respect and admire heap such praise on the book that I assume I must be missing something. I feel like if I were to “get it” that it would be very helpful, so I keep trying. Might be foolish but ¯_(ツ)_/¯ 😀

@jack I do understand that. I’ve had the same feeling. “If X likes this so much, it must be good; what am I missing?”
