Whoa, freeze dried banana tastes like fake banana flavor.
@aaronpk the banana flavor is isoamyl acetate. it has a much higher boiling point than water, so freeze drying just distills and isolates it until it basically is the same as the fake banana flavor. i am not a chemist, but was forced to make the stuff (despite my utter revulsion of the oder) in an o-chem lab in university.
