Pretty sure Apple News just abused the social contract for their top stories notifications. If they weren’t involved in Lionel Messi’s soccer career in the US, I don’t think his debut would have warranted a wrist notification.
@danielpunkass I’ve long wondered what warrants a news notification and was frustrated by some in the past, so I turned them off. The one that you just shared is particularly egregious.
@danielpunkass Probably the fact that Apple TV+ offers the soccer season with no blackouts has an influence in even Apple Music advertising Messi’s arrival to Miami. I don’t care and I don’t need this info in my Apple News, music, and I guess every single Apple service.
