@iChris Colbert is getting roasted across TikTok for the way people felt he punched down and went for a cheap joke at their expense. It's all ironic to me because I wouldn't watch any Colbert if I hadn't started following him on TikTok. :)

@iChris If you're going to link to tiktok (colbert, some lawmakers) any chance you could indicate that somehow and save me (and other old men, perhaps) a click?

@jeremycherfas I'm not sure what you mean? I should label URLs on Micro.blog somehow? I'm not against the idea, just not sure how to best do that. Do I label every URL somehow? I don't see anyone else doing that when they link on here.

No URL previews is a weird limitation of Micro.blog.

@iChris I'm not truly expecting you to do that. It was a kind of meta-attempt to show that I don't get tiktok.

But now that you mention it, without a full unfurl, it would be nice to see the destination of a link on hover, or something.

@jeremycherfas Yeah neither the desktop app (macOS) or iOS app has any meaningful way to show the URL if I use Markdown to add the link. Obviously a standalone link is fine I assume? chrisenns.com/2024/01/w... Not covered by Markdown conversion.
