Based off of nothing more than this blog post by Robin Rendle, I’m tempted to order a Kobo Libra 2 e-reader. Anyone else have one? I can’t do Kindle because they don’t work with the libraries here in Canada.

@iChris I just started using one after using a Kindle Oasis for many years. I’m a big fan of the Kobo so far. Better ergonomics, faster UI, maybe the typography is better? I use the OverDrive integration with a library in the US and it’s nice, so is the Readwise integration (in beta)

Only downside so far is the highlighting is trickier to wrangle than on the Kindle. Maybe it’ll get better in the future, but I can live with it.

Never going to back to Kindle.

@iChris yes! I use it exclusively with the Toronto Public Library and really like it. A few thoughts here

@sherif OOoh highlighting is something I hadn’t thought about. I wonder if it can sync to Readwise somehow. That’d be slick.

@mroutley Nice! Thanks. Extra points for reading by a lake / pond. :)

Emphasis added. So that’s an affirmative on Readwise :)
