Over and over again I fail to stick with a task management system. I think I found it, I‘m in love for a while, then it fades away over time until I‘m stressed out and forget just about anything. Then I search again. Nothing fits. And then I always come back to TaskPaper. Will I try it again? 🤷‍♂️

@hutaffe have you tried a piece of paper and pen. Then move it into bullet journal. I find routine is the key.

@Munish I like the basic style of TaskPaper with all the flexibility it provides. I have no experience with bullet journals. Would it work with complex multi-faceted projects?

@hutaffe Have you found a reliable way to sync TP to mobile? How do you handle recurring tasks?

@MitchW my solution to recurring tasks is to not use them 😅 I always push them, and they pile up and make me anxious 😬 Syncing is a big issue. There’s only an unusable app on iOS. I wanted to build one myself at some point, but time… hence no TaskPaper on mobile for me 😕

@hutaffe Morning. To start with, it is a mindset, like any task manager. To obey the rules. Index, inbox (to collect), future, priority, month by month etc. I am no expert and do not fully use it. When I did..it started in a notebook and then gradually transitioned to an app, where you can tag, set reminders etc. the biggest thing for me, to start a process, and you have to stick with, is make the methodology work for you. Bullet journal is the only one that kind of sticks.

@Munish Maybe now is the time to figure this out. I’ll have a deeper look and see how it feels like 🤓

@hutaffe I think I may only have one recurring task, actually--giving the dog a monthly medication.

@Munish Thanks for the intro! I watched a few basics-videos to get an overview. Currently, I'm sticking with the Digital Planner of The Sweet Setup on my reMarkable, and it seems very close to a bullet journal, using many of the concepts as far as I can see. When I fall off the train again, I'll try the bullet journal. If anything, it would give me an excuse to buy some new notebooks and pens 😊
