@Miraz 😁 it's a big project Miraz. They're transporting tonnes and tonnes of rock to build groynes for flood defences. It has been going on a looong time. Also getting rid of old structures, building bridges over the groynes. It's fascinating to watch all the big machines at work. People often hang out and watch them.
@hollyhoneychurch Ah, that makes sense. Thanks. It's a time-consuming and expensive endeavour, judging by much smaller works I've seen here.
