@hjertnes !!!
@Gabz I’ve been listening to a lot and I mean a lot of podcasts since 2010, in periods anything I found that was kind of interesting.
Then I last year started to loose interest in some and slowly over a year I unsubscribed from all tech podcasts and a lot of others.
When I decided to delete overcast I had like four or five left.
@hjertnes ha! Interesting, somehow I can relate. For me it’s been more about deleting tech related podcast, especially for the “mayor players” aka relay fm. Switching to whole different kind of shows. And it’s been good, so far.
@hjertnes see, my commute is at least 25-30 mins both ways. I’m sure I can fit in audiobooks in there. Instead I still do podcasts 😪
@Gabz it’s not that bad, I’m contrast to shorter commutes, I can sit on the train and listen to books, play games on my switch, read books or watch movies / shows
@hjertnes Not sure if you were listening to Causality before you pulled the pin on podcasts. It’s all good.
@johnchidgey I did or I were listening to most of your shows before I started to move away from podcasts. Causality and Hardcore history would be among the first I’d subscribe to if I decide to get into it again.
@Gabz Just curious about that particular network. Is there anything specific that led you to switch off? Not a judgement - honestly curious.
@johnchidgey A lot of their shows kinda all talk the same kind of stuff, just different hosts. I mean technology in general and apps and whatnot. I also feel they all complain about the same stuff. So I got a little tired of that. I now looks for more casual conversations type shows. Hope this make sense, sometimes u have a hard time putting my thoughts together 😅
@Gabz It's all good, like I said I was just curious. I still listen to RecDiffs every episode which is fortnightly, others if topics come up I’m interested in, particularly Upgrade.
@johnchidgey I still listen to RecDiff , it’s casual conversation. Upgrade I have stopped a while ago, Connected I don’t listen much these days, love Cortex still
