I think this might be the first time I've ever achieved this. Okay, so my move goal is artificially low because I'm still off work, but it still feels good!

@colinwalker I've gotten it four times. And it always drives me nuts when I don't get it because of a single day…

@hjertnes There should be "rest days”. Like I've been sick and stuck to a bed, and I hate that my streak is broken.

@hjertnes We’re back to introducing the concept of “days off” to our devices.

@furstenberg I second that — our devices need to understand the conpept of weekly/bi-weekly off. Not that we are make them slog 24x7. Even they are allowed to take off. Wait a second ..

@hjertnes @colinwalker I'm currently on my 360th continues day of filling all the circles, today and 4 more days to go.

@colinwalker The psychology of the Watch is clever around this, it adjusts itself downwards if you have a bad spell, and encourages you get more active again, rather than telling you off. I find it supportive rather than chastising, which is exactly what I need.

@adders The only problem is that it never gets satisfied 😜 If had taken all the suggestions it had told me, I would probably be on 5000-6000 calories per day now (I was cutting timber this summer and it was easily 1000 calories/hour which affected the suggestions - a normal workday without exercise is probably 400-500 calories)

@jemostrom You mean… we can never achieve endless perfect health, and stop exercising…?

😭

@adders Yeah, I know ... it hurts 😜.

More seriously, I've noticed that it might introduce some stress in trying to fill all the circles which for me isn't that good ... but it's definitely good that I feel the pressure to fill the circles.

So I've scaled back on the suggested increase, trying to always to increase but not with the same rate as the watch suggests.

@colinwalker yeah. It's a little bit tricky, because you don't want people to the the badge if you add cheat days all the time. But it should allow it if you have filled the ring the previous and following X days

@colinwalker I guess the Monthly Challenge stuff have been added as a less difficult option to the Perfect Month.

@jemostrom Tim Cook and Jony Ive should come in person and give you a physical version of a badge in person when someone fills all rings 365 days in a row.

@hjertnes That would be OK with me

@hjertnes Maybe have a maximum number of rest days you could have and still get the award or have it so you could set up a schedule like a 5/2 weekly split. Tailoring your goals to you and your activity.

@adders Yeah, I like that aspect of it but it still can’t cater for those occasions where you might not be able to exercise so skews the data.

@colinwalker great job!! Those perfect months are so motivating to me partly because they’re such an accomplishment! Not an easy thing to do!

@colinwalker @hjertnes I blogged about this last week, but I really think moving to a weekly move goal (instead of daily) is the way to go. It solves so many problems, rest days chief amongst

@colinwalker thanks! It may be a bit too much of a fundamental rethinking, but the goal was really to make sure that it was flexible and not too complicated
