I mean, isn’t automatic theme switching part of the OS? Built in the system’s settings? Why is instead part of the app’s subscription? I know it’s only 5 USD a year for something that’s, again, already part of the OS.

@Gaby my interpretation is that they added a dark theme and used a terrible way to describe it.
But. Here is my two cents about this and every single other subscription for apps out there.
You pay them not for specific features but to make it possible to maintain it without having to download a new app and all of that.
The whole pay once and never again system that came with iOS In 2008 have never worked out and never will
