The built-in QR Code Scanner functionality is broken on iOS if you actually have to interact with the web page in the same way you would in a Safari session. The fact that it doesn’t actually send the link to Safari kills me. If you switch away, it vanishes.

@odbol I have been using the QR scanner available in the Control Center menu. It appears to open in a Safari-like view, but let’s say I toggle away for MFA or to look up my specific password, there is nothing to return to. Safari itself isn’t open to the link, and the Control Center session seems to go away.
