So disappointed. Getting my daughter set up with her own Microsoft account actually has made it harder to play Minecraft with her. Instantly, multiplayer is turned off for her and she is prevented from joining Realms, which was something I was wanting to set up and share.
@hjalm The only way to get around it is unofficial. Remove parental controls, remove the familial relationship, and lie about her age.
@frostedechoes I found this article and am going to try this today: Allow Daughter to Access Minecraft Realms The solution looks like it could work, and seems much more reasonable than the scorched earth solutions I have seen elsewhere. Wish I could have stumbled on this more easily!
